How it all started...
Divine Destiny Family Worship Was born out of adversity.
Pastor Russell Nelson Sr founded the ministry after resigning from the Florence tabernacle Baptist church in October of 1993. Knowing only a few people in the area and no place to hold services, pastor nelson was a bit reluctant in this endeavor, but was prompted by the Holy Spirit to step out on Faith.
Pastor Nelson Left the Florence Tabernacle Baptist on a Sunday where God instructed him to tell the people to "come out with their hands up", it was by the following Wednesday night of the same week , we had a building to hold bible study. "is there anything to hard for the Lord"
Pastor Nelson along with his wife and potential members meet with the building owners and signed a handwritten contract to occupy the building with a rent to own notion toward purchasing the property. The growth process was slow and lengthy in accusing new members, but it increased our faith in god knowing this was an inspired concept of the Lord. After six months the ministry was unable to secure the finances for the building, after meeting with the owners again pastor nelson and DDFWC was giving a six month extension to purchase the property.
Being in its infant stage, the banks were reluctant to lend money to the ministry, causing some members to get discourage and leave the ministry. Left a handful of members we stayed the course and kept the faith; little did anyone know that God was giving us a Gideon experience by wanting our trust and faith to be in Him as our source and not our resource.
Through much prayer and faith Pastor Nelson along with another member meet the owners at a local lawyers office ad gave the sellers a check for the remaining full amount. It was the major sacrifices of some members and the promises of Jesus Christ that has brought this vision to past.
Only God can receive the glory from this encounter. It was "Not by might nor by power but by His Spirit said the Lord of Host!" Zechariah 4:6-8

Currently we are a growing church with various activities for all family members, and a desire to be a beckon of light in the community.
Where we are headed...
We are just getting started, as we prepare ourselves for the harvest and the third phase of this ministry, we believe will expand out territory for kingdom purpose.
We are Trusting God for new land to build a state of the art worship facility. Which includes (but not limited to) a school to equip and train Gods people, kids and youth facilities with weekly access for all families. A Senior Home to help the elderly, housing facilities to help shelter the homeless, and many many more.
